Coming Home: Where Meditation Meets Real Life
A weekly meditation gathering designed to help you reconnect with yourself amidst the busyness of everyday life. Drawing on Tibetan Buddhist mind training tradition known as Lojong, these classes combine timeless wisdom with a practical, down-to-earth approach that speaks to the realities of modern life.
Together we’ll explore meditation, reflection, compassion and awareness through practices that help cultivate calm, clarity, resilience and an open heart. While rooted in Buddhist philosophy, the focus is always on direct experience and practical application. No previous meditation experience is required. Each weekly class includes:
• Guided meditation
• Practical Tibetan Buddhist philosophy
• Reflection and discussion
• Mindfulness and compassion practices
• A welcoming and supportive community
This is not about escaping life or becoming someone different. It is about learning how to meet life more fully — with greater presence, understanding and kindness.
Monthly Medicine Buddha & Dedication Evening
On the final Thursday of each month, our regular class becomes a special Medicine Buddha practice and dedication evening.
Together we gather the names of loved ones, community members, and anyone facing illness, grief, uncertainty or obstacles. Through meditation, chanting and dedication, we offer our collective practice for their wellbeing and the removal of difficulties.
This simple tradition reflects a core principle of Tibetan Buddhism: that our practice is not only for ourselves, but also for the benefit of others. Whether you are completely new to meditation or have an established practice, you are warmly invited to join us.
A place to pause. A place to breathe. A place to reconnect. A place to come home.

Tuesday Meditation & Philosophy with Tamkey
Join us for a unique opportunity to learn from Tamkey, a former Tibetan monk, published author and scholar.
Originally from Tibet, Tamkey journeyed on foot across the Himalayas to continue his studies in Dharamsala, India. A former scholar and teacher at Kirti Monastery, he has published works on Buddhist philosophy and trained in Tibetan Traditional Medicine. Since moving to Australia in 2012, Tamkey has shared Tibetan Buddhist wisdom in a grounded and accessible way, helping students bring ancient teachings into everyday life.
Each fortnightly session includes guided meditation, a deep dive into Tibetan Buddhist philosophy, and open discussion in a welcoming and supportive environment. Drawing on the rich Kadampa tradition of Atisha and Dromtönpa, these classes offer practical tools for cultivating wisdom, compassion, and inner peace.
When: Fortnightly, Tuesdays 3.45–5.00 PM
