Claire has an eclectic background, working in a variety of sectors including Education, IT and most recently as a Senior Social Media Consultant to a Top 20 ASX listed utility company. Working in the Corporate world has taught her one thing; opportunities to practice mindfulness are everywhere 😉
Claire was fortunate enough to stumble across the Dharma when she was in highschool. In 1997, she met Therese Bottomly (a Senior Student of Ven.Geshe Acharya Thubten Loden) and had a private audience with him. The meeting inspired her to study further and formally.
In 2005, Claire left Melbourne on her first Buddhist pilgrimage to India and had an experience that forever changed her. She continues to travel India extensively, always returning to Dharamsala to volunteer with charitable organisations such as Tong-Len and attend teachings with His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama. She’s been blessed to receive several initiations and complete a week-long retreat with His Holiness here in Sydney.
Receiving daily guidance from Tamkey, her partner in work and life as to the profound and practical application of Lojong has strengthened her resolve to live mindfully.
Inspired by the transformative qualities of the Lojong practice, she is driven to share her understanding so that others may find the same sense of awareness, resilience and humour that she has.
